Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Sagar Dave, Marketing Manager, DAV, Samsung Electronics Australia said: “The Samsung VP-MX20 is a next-generation camcorder designed to capture and share content with friends and family on multi-media devices and the internet.
“The camcorder has been designed with internet savvy, video sharing consumers in mind, and we expect this camera to be a huge hit with the web 2.0 generation and anyone who enjoys sharing their world.”
The unit comes with a “prestigious” Schenider lens with 34x optical zoom, thereby promising implying better video than camera which comes with lesser lenses. Samsung also says the lens helps to “maintain a stylish and ergonomic design for fashion forward filmmakers”, although whether that’s just marketing speak is for you to decide.
Samsung also touts its “exclusive swivel hand-grip captures hard-to-reach low angle shots, while the camcorder’s 10 automatic scene modes and iScene features ensure quality footage is captured.”
Samsung also boasts that “novice filmmakers can emulate Spielberg with Samsung’s patented Face Detection technology, which automatically detects up to 12 faces within a frame by adjusting focus and exposure to ensure subjects are filmed in the best possible light.
“The VP-MX20 also features a generous 2.7 inch screen for editing on the fly, while the camcorders’ hefty 34x zoom and image stabilisation feature provides smoother, more vivid images – perfect for the first-time filmmaker.”
