Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained that: ”We are really happy to be working with INQ to bring its customers a deeply-integrated Facebook experience on the new INQ1 handsets.
“More than 15 million Facebook users currently access the site through their mobile devices. This number has doubled over the past six months, and we expect it to continue to grow as people become even more familiar with handsets like the INQ1.”
Chris Lewis, Head of Asia Operations at Skype offered: “We are thrilled with the Skype experience that the INQ1 delivers, and it's just another step towards our goal of giving Skype users even more options to access Skype while on the go.”
Meanwhile, Dean Capobianco, Director of Mobile at ninemsn said: "The INQ1brings Windows Live Messenger, Australia's most popular instant messaging service, to mobile. Using Windows Live Messenger on the INQ1, people can chat with friends even when they're away from their computer.”
Due to arrive in stores “in time for Christmas” in Australia, the UK and other countries where 3 Mobile has operations, the phone will be on sale at 3 stores, partners and online, although you can find out more information at 3 Mobile Australian “INQ” page, supposed to go live today.
However at the time of publishing this article, that page doesn't seem to be working, although I'm sure it will go live during the day. Meanwhile, if you want to see what the Australian 3 Mobile INQ page will probably look like, you can go to 3 Mobile UK's INQ page instead, if the Australian link isn't yet working for you either.
You can see a video of the INQ in action from ShinyShiny on YouTube , while this link takes you to other INQ videos.
