Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Telstra Media Group Managing Director, Justin Milne said, "Working with Disney for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, means Aussie fans won't need to wait until the film is in cinemas to enjoy the musical soundtrack as it's available exclusively at BigPond along with other exciting content.
"We are thrilled to work with Disney to create a website where fans can download the soundtrack, games, wallpapers and ringtones, access interviews with their favourite High School Musical stars and watch video highlights from High School Musical 2. Fans will also be able to access exciting High School Musical 3: Senior Year content on their Next G" mobile," said Mr Milne.
"As a leader in Australian digital entertainment, collaborating with Disney is a natural progression, and BigPond's High School Musical 3 website is a one stop shop for High School Musical fans."
Disney Interactive Media Group, Christina Thurn, said, "The popularity of High School Musical has taken off around the globe, and Australia is no exception. This deal with BigPond means fans are able to access High School Musical 3: Senior Year content online and from their mobile phone in the lead up to the film launch on December 4, 2008.
Disney says that “the popularity of the High School Musical franchise extends beyond its huge audiences in cinemas and on TV. The CD soundtracks from the first two movies have achieved platinum status with combined sales of over 230,000 units in Australia.”
The official High School Musical 3: Senior Year soundtrack is available to download in MP3 format. BigPond customers can download tracks for $1.49 and the album for $15.00. Non-BigPond customers can download tracks for $1.69 and the album for $16.50.
As per usual, BigPond says its customers “will not have the download data counted towards their usage allowance.”
