Other features of NTI Shadow include: being able to schedule in minutes, hours or days when the backup automatically starts, unless you want continuous data protection.

You can set the software to automatically detect the hard drive when plugged in to start the backup too if you wish.

The job options can be easily edited, the backup files can be dragged and dropped off the hard drive because they’re stored in the native file format as previously mentioned. There’s also file version control which is handy if you want a previous version of a file, too.

The dimensions and weight of the drives is 81 x 127 x 17mm (WxDxH) and they weigh 198.4g, although I’d assume there are minor differences in weight depending on whether the drive is 160GB or 320GB.

The drives come with a “three year limited warranty”.
