Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
No Opera is complete without reference to the villains of the story, and Opera has ensured that the villains are vanquished thanks to “strengthened defense against malware and phishing” with Opera’s new Fraud Protection feature.
This is designed to protect you - Opera’s audience – from fraudulent Web sites, with Opera boasting “it is now the first browser publically available to protect you from malware and other malicious software on the Web”.
This, says Opera, is achieved thanks to a trio of performers within the Opera 9.5 troupe, known as “Haute Secure, Netcraft, and PhishTank”, performing in unison to “automatically block offending Web pages to keep you out of harm’s way.”
Opera 9.5 also promises not to keep you waiting for the performance to begin, promising “dramatic speed improvements to the e-mail client, RSS feeds and the browser itself, so you can spend more time getting things done online.”
Other well known features in Opera are still part of the act, including “the ability to save and restore browsing sessions after you close the browser, a trash can for accidentally closed tabs or e-mails, mouse gestures and many others”.
The Director and CEO of the Opera extravanganza, Jon von Tetzchner, says that: “Opera 9.5 represents the culmination of two years spent listening to our community and transforming our browser to add features and capabilities they have requested.”
Contiunuing with the song and dance, Tetzchner says that: “Opera 9.5 offers new possibilities and capabilities. It’s faster, lighter and pushes us further out in front of other browsers, by blending the mobile and desktop worlds together in new and powerful ways. We invite everyone to join us as we continue to shape the way the Web will evolve.”
Tickets to download Opera 9.5 for your own in-home performance are now freely available, with video tutorials giving an inside view into how, where, why and when of the Opera browsing experience.
