Then there’s FOD – no, not FUD, but a reinforced ‘flying on demand’ technology to control the distance “disk and the head, a safety measure to protect the head and raise the stability of data stored on the disk.”

Due in the ‘second quarter of 2008’ – which means around about now – the drive will sell in the US for US $199. No international pricing or availability has yet been announced but local distributors will probably have it in stock within the next 1-3 months.
