Where’s my electric Bambino, dude?

Opinion and Analysis

The UK’s “Reading Evening Post” says it’s been named ‘The Car of the Year’, as well as having been “awarded a five-star NCAP rating for adult occupants”.

In addition, there are plenty of comparisons to the Beetle, Mini and other small cars in reviews on the web.

But to get me truly excited about the Bambino, you’ll need to wake me up when they make it electric.

Perhaps by 2010 – with stiff competition from Chevrolet’s upcoming Volt – and improved electric models on the way from Toyota and a host of other companies – we’ll see the Bambino get electrified with some serious new zap.

Until then, the car is cool, for sure. But I won’t be buying one. Will you?
