Still, Apple are set to hold the launch event in late February 2008 for the iPhone and iPod Touch SDK, allowing third party developers to create authorised applications for Apple’s terrific touch-enabled twosome.

It’s going to be a major event that, in a couple of weeks, will once again generate worldwide publicity and headlines.

Steve Jobs could well take the opportunity to make it an even bigger launch than most of us already expect it to be.

He’s surprised us all before, and who knows, maybe he’s saving newly re-designed MacBook Pros with multi-touch glidepads as his ‘one more thing’ – or perhaps he has something much more exciting in store for us all, such as the rumoured Flash support for iPhone and iPod Touch, or perhaps even a vastly improved 2.0 firmware for both handhelds.
