What could be more innocuous than an iPhone app for reading a particular RSS feed? Yet Apple's managed to find fault.
The App Store craziness isn't over.
You'd have thought that Apple would have noticed the bad publicity it gets whenever inconsistency is identified in the application of its policies for including or rejecting software submitted to the App Store.
And you would nave thought that the company would have 're-educated' the people doing the grunt work, or at least instituted some kind of sanity check on the initial decisions.
A recent example was the rejection of the Eucalyptus e-book reader app because it provided access to the Kama Sutra. Never mind that other 'approved' software - including Apple's own Safari did too.
That decision was soon reversed.
Sometimes it works the other way. The notorious Baby Shaker and I Am Rich applications were initially approved and then withdrawn after public outcry.
