Opinion and Analysis
Another Apple Store is about to open in Australia. Hot on the heels of the Robina (Queensland) opening earlier this month, the company's newest retail outlet will open its doors at the weekend.
The Doncaster (Victoria) Apple Store is located within the
Westfield Doncaster shopping centre (Unit 1148) at the junction of Doncaster Road and Williamsons Road.
The grand opening is set for 9am on Saturday May 23, but at this stage there's no indication of the festivities (if any) that are planned - though there will probably be the usual camaraderie among those happy to queue up to be one of the first in the store.
The usual Apple Store features are promised, including the Genius Bar, personal shopping advisors and regular workshops.
Those workshops are scheduled to start on Monday June 1 with getting started and iLife sessions.
According to Apple's web site, there are still some vacancies at the Doncaster store, including assistant manager, concierge, genius, and specialist.
Apple's other Australian stores are located in George St Sydney, Chatswood Chase, Chadstone Shopping Centre, and Robina Town Centre.
Doncaster will be the fifth Apple Store to open in Australia in a year. The first was George Street, which opened on 18 June 2008.
