There had been some speculation that the Chadstone premises might have been destined to be occupied by an Apple reseller rather than Apple itself. Apple has been advertising for staff for a future Apple Store Chadstone for some time, but the company steadfastly refuses to answer questions about such matters.

Computers Now already operates a store at Chadstone, so an Apple Store at that location will again put Apple in direct competition with another of its existing resellers.

Other Apple resellers at Chadstone or Chatswood Chase include David Jones, JB Hi-Fi and Myer.

The good news for Melbournians is that visitors to Chadstone that have been able to peek behind the false wall report that the fit-out is under way, so the store should be open well before the Christmas shopping season gets under way.
