Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Apple is gradually whipping its bug ridden MobileMe email and calendars package into shape, fixing yet another glitch. An issue affecting synchronisation with the iPhone and iPod touch has been fixed, but some users may need to take action to get things working.
If you have enabled syncing but your data does not appear in the Calendar or Contacts applications on the iPhone or iPod touch, Apple has published the steps needed to reset the link in a support article.
It's basically a matter of disabling syncing and then turning it back on again.
As far as I can see, MobileMe sync is now working smoothly between a Mac and an iPhone. One thing to keep in mind is that while MobileMe pushes to the iPhone and iPod touch, it's up to the Mac to initiate a sync operation. This can be done automatically at 15-minute, hourly, daily or weekly intervals, or on demand.
If you plan to sync manually to force updates when you need them, it's a good idea to make sure that "Show status in menu bar" is selected in the MobileMe system preference. That way you can trigger a sync by selecting the menu item that looks like a pair of semicircular arrows.
The introduction of MobileMe was delayed for several days without explanation. And when the service was up and running, users reported various problems, especially with email.
Apple today announced that it had completed the restoration of full email service, including the recovery of old messages that were lost from a claimed one percent of accounts.
