iTunes U expands to Australia in university deals

Opinion and Analysis

"You don't have to be a student to access university knowledge. Through iTunes U, Swinburne can reach beyond the classroom, allowing not only students, but the global community at large, to extend their learning, explore interests and engage in education."

The Director of the UWA Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, Professor Denise Chalmers, said iTunes U complemented the UWA's commitment to flexible teaching.

"We already provide a variety of on-line services for students. iTunes U is an exciting addition to the range of programs we have in place which are designed to cater for a more diverse range of learners, learning styles, needs and interests than are normally catered for through conventional study programs."
