Google Spreadsheets got a significant lift from the ability to use gadgets (eg, to show an address on a map), revision notifications (so you know when a shared spreadsheet has been changed), user interface improvements (including text autocomplete), additional functions

The new-look Gmail also became generally available to users during the month.

SaaS might not be the answer to life, the universe and everything, but it is delivering on at least one aspect of its promise.
