In any case, the relatively wide use of email filtering services and systems by ISPs and other organisations would most likely nip in the bud any attempt to distribute malware via email. When was the last time actual malware (as opposed to links to subverted web sites) showed up in your in box? Sure, some might get through, but I can't see it being a major problem.

Do I have my head in the sand? No. I believe security is an issue for Mac users, and I have been running security software on my Macs for years. It's just that I believe SubRosaSoft's suggestions are of little inherent value, or that they do not take proper account of user needs or behaviour.
