Apple's iPhoto printing finally reaches Australia

Opinion and Analysis

Greeting cards start at $A2.69 each, falling to $A2.09 if 50 or more are ordered at once. A similar sliding scale applies to postcards, ranging from $A1.99 to $A1.39.

Normal prints start at $A0.29 for 4 x 6in, rising to $A39.99 for 20 x 30in. Other standard sizes - 5 x 7, 8 x 10, 16 x 20 - are also available, along with four 2.5 x 3.5in prints.

Delivery is extra, which probably means it will still be cheaper to take orders for small numbers of prints to your local chemist, supermarket or minilab.

The big attraction is likely to be the photo books, as locally-available services of this type have in general previously lacked iPhoto integration, been expensive (eg, over $100 for a hardback), or both.
