When I walked in to the phone shop and saw it on the shelf, I already knew I wasn't going to buy the iPhone 5. It had a small unimpressive screen, looked unremarkably similar to what I already had and and Apple even wanted to force me to buy a new adapter to fit my existing devices. And here was a Samsung phone that was already a generation ahead, with a new model soon to arrive. Is there anything Apple can do?
