Search engine optimization guru Bruce Clay claims that personalized search, behavior-based search, intent-based search, and universal search will have a dramatic impact on the SEO industry.

At the recent PubCon event in Las Vegas, Internet marketing and website promotion expert Bruce Clay gave a presentation that has major ramifications for anybody involved in promoting web sites of any sort.

SEO specialists have refined and refined again their techniques for improving a site's ranking with search engines, particularly Google.

Clay predicts that they'll have to do a major rethink of how people go about building sites and the sort of content they put into it.

Due to the enhanced ways that search engines now can scan sites, those without significant video content, for example, he thinks will rapidly fall behind in the SEO stakes he says.

For example, at the Official Google Analytics Blog, you can watch  there's this recent video explaining how they now provide a simple, open-source method to enable tracking of Flash, Flex and AS3 content. Previously, such Flash tracking was not standardized.

Their new Flash tracking code, they say, provides all the rich features of the current JavaScript-based version, including campaign, pageview and event tracking and can be used to track Flash content such as embedded videos, branded microsites and distributed widgets, such as online games.
