Amazon buys its text-to-speech provider
Amazon has acquired Ivona Software, the company that provided Amazon with text-to-speech and other technologies used in the Kindle Fire.
Amazon turned to Ivona Software for the text-to-speech, voice guide and explore by touch technologies of its Kindle Fire tablet.
