Our
client is a globally known Financial Services organisation operating in
hundreds locations around the world. Acknowledged as a worldwide expert
in its field, the company offers its clients a range of innovative
financial products and services. The company relies on a complex
global network including WAN, LAN and internet technologies, with
infrastructure reliability and quality paramount. A new permanent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Network
Support Analyst to join the APAC infrastructure support division. The
team is responsible for ensuring high level availability for global
customer connectivity with focus on customer satisfaction as well as
network stability and structured growth. This role provides a mix of BAU support as well as ad-hoc project
work to further develop the network as you will assist in delivering
reliable, high quality infrastructure services to mission critical
global services. To be successful in this environment you will be able
to draw on your experience in dealing with complex regional networking
sites and ability to deliver user friendly solutions. Key Responsibilities include: - Monitoring and management of the network infrastructure at both an APAC and global level (WAN, LAN)
- Assisting with the development of the network to support the changing needs of the business
- Management of relationships both internally and amongst the customer base to build confidence and trust
- Adherence to company SLAs, internal policy, audit and legal requirements in all daily business dealings
Experience Required: - Minimum CCNA qualification
- Vendor specific knowledge including Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper and Websense
- 3-4 years experience supporting a complex network infrastructure
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including LAN, WAN, Security and Internet
- Experience in configuring network elements including switches, routers, hubs and VPNs
- Highly developed communication skills and an ability to understand both the technical and business perspective
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to liaise with and manage service providers
Desirable Experience: - Other relevant Cisco qualifications such as CCSA⁄CCIE
- Experience in and⁄or knowledge of similar complex networking
environments within a financial services based industry, banking ideal
