A leader in its field, this financial services has been in the business for more than 60 years now.

THE ROLE
They are currently looking for a NETWORK LEAD ENGINEER to ensure that the organization's network, LAN/WAN is efficient, secure and accurate.

THIS exciting role will be an integral business partner in providing a providing a stable, secure, controlled and efficient network, security communications and voice environments.

REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualifications at degree level in Computing or Engineering-related disciplines
Cisco, Checkpoint, Microsoft and security certifications
Extensive technical IT experience in network, security, communications and voice architecture, implementation and support
Demonstrated success in mentoring a team of professionals
Strong knowledge and experience in ITIL, ISO17799/27001 and COBIT
Experience working in a complex network, security, communications and voice infrastructure environment
Excellent understanding of key technologies and techniques: networking, security, firewalls, routers, switches, communications, VoIP, PABX, LDAP, Microsoft, Unix/Linux, monitoring tools, security audit techniques, risk management, proxy servers, VPN, encryption technologies, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Cisco, Checkpoint and eCommerce environments
Works effectively under pressure, showing initiative by appropriately identifying and handling any business, technical or supervisory issues that occur.
Ability to be able to self-manage and work with minimum supervision, including proven ability to think strategically
Experience negotiating with 3rd party service delivery organisations
Proven track record of problem solving, trouble-shooting and performance tuning
Highly effective interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to ensure stakeholder commitment and to build relationships with senior management
