Our client is a Dynamic Global Trading Organisation that defines itself through innovative thinking, market responsiveness and use of cutting edge technologies. Their Asian trading operations are run out of the Sydney office and this is the second largest office for the organisation behind an European Head Office.

This is the opportunity to join the small trade floor support team that is responsible for the day to day assistance of traders (<50) and business users for all networking issues, hardware support and application support for market data systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, IRESS). This team also works with other members of the Global Support Team to complete tasks ⁄ projects and is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and implementing the latest technology available with a key focus on performance, speed and reliability.

This new role within the support team has come out of organic growth and is looking for an individual to be primarily focused on Network Support and Windows Server Administration Support.

Skills Required:

• Expert knowledge of Network Architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and maintenance (LAN and WAN).
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring core services (Active Directory, DNS, MS Exchange, SQL Server 2005, and IIS).
• 3-5 Years working with Solaris ⁄ Linux
• Knowledge of Market Data Systems ⁄ Financial Products (ideally Derivatives)
• Industry experience in administering a distributed exchange connected network in a market making or financial markets firm, high availability or mission critical systems.
• CISCO⁄Networking certificates
• Personal interest in Financial Markets ⁄ Trading
