Working in a team of highly technical individuals, this role requires the incumbent to develop solutions ⁄ enhancements ⁄ functionality for a major Order Management system being developed and deployed throughout Asia for this Global Investment Bank.

Ideally, you will have a very thorough understanding of the workings of electronic trading markets and have experience programming against Exchange APIs for Cash, Futures and Options markets in Asia. Any previous exposure to Exchange Traded Derivatives (EDT) would be deemed highly advantageous. Your past experience may include building connectivity directly to exchanges for increased throughput and decreased latency into the Market.

As well as developing the base infrastructure, you will work closely with other teams a number of complex projects that could include integrating a new trading platform, algorithmic trading platform, crossing engine ⁄ capabilities into the strategic infrastructure.

Technical skills required include:

• Strength in Java programming with C++ experience nice to have
• Messaging technologies e.g. TCP⁄IP
• RDBMS skills
• Experience developing server side and client side applications
• Experience working with FIX or other financial protocols a major plus

You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivery against all application development areas of the project lifecycle including drawing design specifications and technical specifications from business requirements, development and implementation based upon specifications, production of unit test cases, test harnesses and test applications drawn from technical specs, working experience with source code management, fault tracking and control and release management.

To be successful in this position you will require a detailed understanding of the trade lifecycle from capture, through execution to settlement ⁄ confirmation. Development experience of Order and Execution Management systems ⁄ servers is highly desirable
