Due to a restructurein their global Security teams they require a number of Security Operations Analysts with a focus in the Intrusion Detection arena to join their Sydney team, supporting business wide technology, regionally and globally.
 
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The responsibility of the Security Operations Analyst is predominately of a logging & monitoring function. This includes watching security correlations related to breach of usage policy, potential exploit attempts, and initial investigative work on escalations. This role is responsible for the infrastructure security of the bank and candidates must be prepared to work occasionally on the weekends, on a rotational on-call shift pattern. The candidate will be working closely with the various tech-streams within the bank and also with the other Security Operations Analysts in the Americas and Europe.
 
SECURITY ANALYST MONITORING TECHNOLOGY INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING
Platform Access / Authentication Systems (Powerbroker, Kerberos, Active Directory)
Intrusion Detection Systems (network and host based)
Custom vulnerability management and correlation systems
 
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Security
Strong Windows, Unix
Strong knowledge of Networking protocols
Strong Intrusion Detection and Vulnerability Management experience
Code development experience (Perl or similar) is a strong advantage

EDUCATION
University Degree with IT Major (or similar technical education) is an advantage
Security Certification (CISSP or similar) or education is a strong advantage

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
 
The successful candidate will be an individual who is capable of working in an environment that requires flexibility and high productivity.
