A global Insurance Software Development company whose offices are growing in Sydney, have a new opening for a Project Manager to work across Australia and Asia Pac. Reporting into the Head of Projects In Asia Pacific this Consulting Project Manager will be the primary point of contact with the Clients, through the project Life Cycle. Their Clients are many of the largest Life Insurance Underwriters globally and they have a very highly regarded reputation in the market.   

Scope of work:   

• Define and plan Customer Projects with the Customer and Head of Projects AP.  
  
• Liaise with sales and internal departments to ensure clients receive highest level of service and to ensure that projects are delivered in a quality manner.  
  
• Maintain a high profile with the customer.  
  
• Participate / Lead / Facilitate customer meetings, presentations, workshops and demonstrations.  
  
• Plan, track and manage to project budgets.  
  
• Manage staff on Customer projects.  
  

Experience:  

• Will have worked closely with end customers in the financial services sector, insurance experience is HIGHLY desirable.  
  
• Strong and proven Project Management Skills (MS Project)  
  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.  
  
• Ability to motivate and manage a multi-skilled team  
  
• A willingness to undertake overseas travel is a pre-requisite for applicants.  
  
• An understanding of HTML, XML and J2EE application environment are highly desirable.  
  
• Fluency in an Asian language (particularly Japanese or Chinese) is highly desirable.
