A global software organisation is seeking a talented Mainframe Customer Support Manager to join their Sydney based team. The successful candidate will work with customer's management team to build and maintain trusting relationships and coach team members in dealing with customer issues. Escalate issues through support and engineering management driving to resolution of issues impacting customer business. You will assist in sales / renewals of contracts, driving an increase in overall contracts and anticipating customer issues and new product issues to proactively prepare the work team to support customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

• A strong understanding of computer technology and how it is utilized to solve business problems.
• Experience using reporting tools and creating reports to track key elements of support.
• Experience using issue management software to track and report on customer issues.
• Global team environment with focus on providing customer solutions as one team regardless of customer location.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Main Frame knowledge

• Escalation and critical situation handling

• Must have lead a team of at least 6 members for more than 3 years

• Budget control in various economy situations

• International IT business experiences, cultural awareness in different geographical regions

• Solid experience in a customer facing environment managing a large and successful team.

• Experiences with Enterprise customers

• Supporting customers in different geographical regions

• 24 x 7 flexibility

• Excellent written and verbal communication native and English language
