Urgent requirement for a Technical Editor for a contract up until end April 2010. This position would suit a junior technical writer or somebody with advanced documenting and editing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and formatting technical, engineering and requirements documents in line with our client's standards.
  
• Developing document templates and style guides using word macros and VBA.
  
• Managing the review and approval process of deliverable documents within the Program to ensure quality standards are met and documents are appropriately reviewed and approved before issue and delivery.
  
• Prioritising and managing a review schedule, in direct support of the Engineering capability elements.
  
• Reporting on any issues or corrective action necessary to ensure quality documents are delivered to the customer within the designated timeframes.
  
• Actively participate in the process improvement process, providing technical advice and experience.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• Doors experience including import and export function into Word experience.
  
• Advanced word and VBA scripting for template development.
  
• Effective communication skills both written and oral and a strong ability to work across multiple skilled and geographically dispersed teams.
  
• Ability to present and discuss information clearly and concisely.
  
• Ability to deal with multiple high priority tasks and multiple sources of tasks.
  
• Ability to take Minutes, if required.
