It's a brave man who swallows a USB memory stick to "hide the evidence." But, as George Harrison tells us, "All Things Must Pass."
Recent reports tell us the amusing tale of a man who swallowed a USB memory while in the custody of US Secret Service Agents.
You can't make this stuff up!
It seems that the man, Florin Necula had been arrested as part of an investigation into ATM 'skimming' operations against New York bank branches.
According to court documents, "After being arrested, NECULA was taken to the USSS offices to be questioned and processed. While there, he grabbed Subject Flash Drive 2, which had been on his person at the time of his arrest, and swallowed. Doctors from the New York Downtown Hospital later removed the flash drive because they were concerned that NECULA would be injured if they allowed the flash drive to remain inside him."
It seems that after 4 days Necula was persuaded, upon Doctors' advice, to agree to surgery to remove the device.
Perhaps not all things pass.
