Telstra confirms Comm Bank remote access deal

Telstra has confirmed that it has signed a three year agreement for the provision of enhanced remote access services to the Commonwealth Bank. The deal was reported in The Australian Financial Review last week. It will enable more than 3000 of the Bank's employees to access its corporate network from anywhere in the world using a range of fixed and wireless technologies, including ADSL broadband and Telstra Mobile Broadband (1xEVDO). Telstra has partnered with US based remote access provider iPass which will provide the desktop access client and deliver a single user interface regardless of access type (dial up, ADSL Wireless or global roaming).
