The NSW Government has announced the composition of its ICT industry advisory panel opting for seven well-credentialed members of the ICT establishment with nary a maverick outlier amongst them.

With combined experience nudging 200 years the experience of the advisory group is unquestioned. The Government has however failed to include any of the radical young bloods currently reshaping Australia's ICT landscape.

The group will be chaired by John Baird, head of Information Enterprise Services at Deutsche Bank.

Other members of the group for the next 12 months are Gartner group vice president Warren Anderson; Intel managing director Phillip Cronin; Barry Deitrich ,a general manager with CSG; Bob Hayward, chief technology and innovation officer at CSC; CSIRO ICT director Dr Ian Opperman; and consultant Jane Treadwell, formerly a chief information officer for Centrelink and Victoria.
