Global integrated ICT solutions and services vendor, Logicalis, has appointed a new strategic solutions director for its Australian operation, based in Melbourne, with responsibility for the evolution and transformation of the company’s product portfolio in line with the needs of its customers.

Logicalis Australia CEO, Chris Meager, announced the appointment of Ian Ross as Strategic Solutions Director. Ross joins Logicalis from, Cisco Australia where he was, most recently, head of business & market innovation. Ross also worked for seven years with Nortel.

Meager said Ross, a 15-year industry veteran, was  responsible for Logicalis solutions portfolio , and for ensuring that it aligned to emerging customer business issues both inside and outside of IT, and maintaining “innovative and unique responses to technological and market opportunities.”

According to Meager, Logicalis has had a “very strong trajectory over the past two years,” including a company  re-branding, a number of partner awards, unique technical accreditations, notable client wins, the establishment of new business practices, the recent acquisition of Corpnet and now a “strong ex-Cisco leader on our executive team – we’re more than heading in the right direction.”

Logicalis recently agreed to acquire Corpnet, a Brisbane-based solution provider, from e-Business Systems.  Corpnet provides data centre, cloud and managed services solutions to the Queensland mid-sized and enterprise markets.
