Finite successful expansion to WA

IT People - Recruitment

ICT recruitment and consultancy group, FiniteIT, expanded into Western Australia earlier this year and has found the local jobs market has bounced back even faster from the financial downturn than the company anticipated when its new Perth office was opened.

Finite’s managing director, Tracy Thomson, said today the Perth office, which opened in May, had moved into profitability in just four months and she had found that the Western Australian market for IT recruiting had bounced back “much quicker than any of us really anticipated and we’ve found the WA business community very open to a fresh supplier with a solid national reputation built upon service, delivery and value.”

Thomson told iTWire that the Perth office is the fifth the company has opened and “based upon the success already achieved there, we will be opening another branch office in Adelaide within the next few months, bringing our complement of national offices to six.”

According to Thomson, the Perth office is “already on target to turnover $8m in revenues this financial year alone,” adding that “when we took the decision to move forward with Perth, our projections for year one were roughly half of what the branch is now achieving as a run rate.  We have also been very fortunate to attract an exceptional local team of talented individuals who have managed to hit the ground running from day one.”

Thomson said a fourth consultant will be joining the Perth team shortly to “further strengthen the scope and spread of their service capability,” and she said the company had signed preferred supplier terms with eight new client organisations within WA so far, with several more under negotiation.
