Aussie Internet pioneer honoured in Net's new Hall of Fame
The Internet Society has launched a Hall of Fame, "an annual awards program...to publicly recognise a distinguished and select group of leaders and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of the global Internet" and has named 33 initial members, including Australian Internet pioneer, Geoff Huston.

Internode backs global 'launch' for IPv6 on 6 June 2012
The Internet Society has designated 6 June 2012 as the global launch date for IPv6, by which time it is expects many major web sites and equipment vendors to have permanently enabled IPv6 for their products and services. Internode has joined a handful of global ISPs so far committed to the project.

ISOC aims to boost IPv6 awareness
The Internet Society has launched Deploy360, a programme that aims to "provide real-world deployment information initially for IPv6 and DNSSEC and, over time, for additional Internet technologies."
