Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has appointed Shelley Austin to the new post of general manager – membership sales and services to boost its membership.
Austin will be based in Sydney, enabling her to support AIIA's large membership base in NSW. She has spent the past 12 years working with t global recruitment organisation, Manpower.
According to AIIA CEO, Sheryle Moon, "Increasing our membership will provide AIIA members with further resources and reach...It is vitally important that we continue to represent the interests of the ICT sector in Australia – a sector that represents 4.6 percent of GDP or as much as six percent if we recognise the contribution of software developed for in-house use."
AIIA claims to have almost 500 member companies that generate combined annual revenues of more than $40 billion, employ 100,000 Australians and export more than $2 billion in goods and services each year.
