Furini joined the ACS as Chief Executive in
September 1999, bringing with him over 35 years experience in the ICT
industry in a career that has encompassed a diverse range of positions
and working environments.
A qualified ICT professional, Dennis Furini has held executive
positions with Sydney Water and Philips, and managed his own marketing
and professional services business.
Furini, commenting on his decision to retire, said:
“During my working life I have always had a very strong commitment to
work. I have decided that at my time of life, I need to give a little
more consideration to my family and myself. By May I will have served
as the ACS CEO, with pride, for some seven and one half years. The
decision has not been easy, as I have enjoyed the role and its
challenges."
The ACS will commence recruitment over the next three months to fill the CEO position.
