Cloud alliance sides with Optus on copyright

OzHub, the Macquarie Telecom-led cloud computing alliance, has come down firmly on the side of Optus over the copyright controversy surrounding Optus TV Now, warning that any moves to change the law "risk branding Australia a global luddite state."

RSA expands ANZ team by three

IT People - People

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, has strengthened its ANZ team with the appointment of Tony Johnson as Senior Account Manager, Henry Zhang as a member of the Customer Service Delivery Team and Tipp Saengsavang as Channel Coordinator. All appointments are effective immediately.

Johnson will work as a Senior Account Manager and joins RSA with over 4 years employment at Clearswift where he held Business Development and Channel Management roles. Most recently he was managing Clearswift’s reseller channel in Asia and was responsible for generating sales from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and India. Previous appointments include Business Development and Sales roles with Scitec, Controlware, Datacraft, Memorex Telex and Sourceware.
 
Zhang's most recent role was at Datacom providing tech support on HP and Microsoft accounts. He has also worked at CISCO Systems as an IBM Contractor for the GTRC (global technical response centre) where he supported internal CISCO employees. Additionally, Zhang was a Desk Analyst at Fujitsu.
 
Tipp Saengsavang joined RSA security in December 2006 as Channel Coordinator. She brings with her two years of sales and channel management experience in the energy and services industries. She was also involved in a youth development project for a non-profit organisation as a youth development worker and is currently nearing the completion of studying for her Bachelor of Business Marketing.
