AEEMA gets new president

The board of AEEMA has elected Ken Bridges, managing director and chief executive officer of Brisbane-based electrical manufacturer, B&R Enclosures Pty Ltd, as its new president.

He will take over on 1 January 2007 from Christopher Janssen, managing director of GPC Electronics, who has held the post for the past three years.

Bridges is also the executive chairman of Hager B&R Pty Ltd, an Australian joint venture established in 1993 between B&R Enclosures and Hager AG, a large privately owned electrical components manufacturer based in France and Germany.  He is also vice president of the Queensland branch of the Australian Industry Group and a member of its National Executive, and also deputy chairman of the Mining Equipment & Services Council of Australia (MESCA).
