In fact it ran CHOGM 2011 and parts of the London 2012 Olympics as well as powering a great many of the world’s leading professional conference organisers.
Fast forward to 1992 when I sold Events Pro to a staff consortium comprising Trevor Gardiner (my Software development manager) and Chris Hayward (my CFO) and they have driven the product on to far greater heights since then.
In 2008 Trevor and Chris did what every blue blooded Aussie wants to do – they sold to US based Certain Software and Trevor bought a helicopter. When asked about that business venture he simply replied “To be helicopter millionaire means that you started as a billionaire”.
Effective 20 February 2013 Certain Software have “transitioned” Events Pro back to Trevor and Chris’s Australian ownership and management.

According to Trevor Events Pro is very much alive and well and an updated release V13 will be out soon followed by Events Pro NextGen based on the latest .Net/SQL system to enable both public and where data security demands it private cloud computing.
Centium is based in Brisbane and has also developed GuestPoint which is popular with small to medim sized independent hotels and motels. In 2011 and 2012, Centium was honoured with four major software awards recognizing innovation and commitment to excellence. These awards included the prestigious 2011 iAWARDS where Centium was the National Winner in the Tourism and Hospitality category, and the International Business Awards where Centium won a Silver "Stevie" for Best New Software.
