Peter Thatcher joins SMS in strategic role

Long-time industry veteran Peter Thatcher has joined listed, Australian-based Asia Pacific consulting, technology and systems integration company, SMS Management Technology, as Strategic Business Development Executive.

Thatcher, originally with the Australian developed Tracker Contact Management company, has senior corporate experience in Australia and internationally over many years, and prior to joining SMS (ASX:SMX) he worked in strategic roles for Oracle and ThoughtWorks.

SMS Regional Director, Dean Oakley, said Peter Thatcher’s strong sales track record, executive leadership skills and first hand expertise in consulting would prove invaluable as SMS implemented its five year growth strategy.

“Peter also has a mature understanding and appreciation for agile, a focus area for SMS and our clients in the current market.
As SMS enters a period of sustained growth, building on its pragmatic enterprise view of agile both at a transformational and delivery level, we need people in our team with the capacity to deliver on our potential.

Peter Dinham is a co-founder of iTWire and a 35-year veteran journalist and corporate communications consultant. He has worked as a journalist in all forms of media – newspapers/magazines, radio, television, press agency and now, online – including with the Canberra Times, The Examiner (Tasmania), the ABC and AAP-Reuters.
