Investment management industry solutions vendor, DST Global Solutions, has appointed a 15-year Asia and Australian marketing industry veteran to head up its marketing team for the Asia pacific region.

DST Managing Director Asia Pacific, Philip Hogan, announced the appointment of Meredith Odgers as Marketing Director for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong, and said the company was committed to growing its footprint in Asia and Australia by bringing its Anova post-trade data management and analytics platform for investment firms and wealth managers to the market.

Commenting on Odgers’ appointment, Hogan said the company was seeing increased increasing demand for sophisticated technology solutions to support the future of the investment management industry in Asia Pacific, which was growing both in volume and complexity.

“DST Global Solutions is well-established and continues to collaborate with several strategic globally renowned specialist firms in the asset management and insurance sectors with our award winning HiPortfolio asset servicing and investment accounting solution.

“Meredith will drive the company’s marketing strategy in the region, promoting and broadening the awareness of DST Global Solutions’ products and services throughout Asia and Australia.”

According to Hogan, the availability of Anova in the Asia Pacific market is timely, as it is designed to support the “rapidly growing needs of high net worth individuals in Asia and the exponential growth and consolidation of pension assets in Australia.”

“These areas will be a key focus for Meredith whose expertise in financial technology marketing will be instrumental to driving our business forward in the Asia Pacific region.”

Odgers joins DST with 15 years of experience as a marketing professional, largely in the financial services sector in Asia and Australia. Before joining DST she was Vice President of Marketing at TORA, a front-office trading technology provider. She also worked with global index provider, FTSE, managing regional marketing and communications, and for Citibank in Singapore and Hong Kong.
