CA Technologies has appointed a new channel account director for its New Zealand business to support existing customers and to drive the company’s growth in the market.

CA Technologies Australia & New Zealand, Senior Director, Channel, Klasie Holtzhausen, announced the appointment of former Transpower senior manager, Lourens Strydom.

Lourens moved to New Zealand four and a half years ago when he worked as a systems architect for Transpower, primarily looking at strategic directions, governance and innovative technology deployments.

He also spent four years in the Middle East managing presales and service groups for Sun Microsystems, and with HP for eight years in presales and delivery consulting roles with customers and delivery partners in South Africa and a number of other African countries.

“New Zealand is a tight-knit and unique market in which CA Technologies has built some excellent channel relationships. Lourens’ strong ties, coupled with his wealth of experience, make him the ideal candidate to help us develop our business, and we’re pleased to have him on board to take on this important responsibility,” Holtzhausen said.

Holtzhausen also announced the appointment of former Oracle and HP employee, Trevor Rogers as Channel Account Director based in Melbourne, primarily responsible for growing CA’s solution provider business in the southern region.

Holtzhausen said the appointment of Strydom and Rogers were in line with CA’s wider channel strategy focused on further growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
