BPM specialist Caylx Software has appointed Jaques van der Merwe as business systems developer.

"Jaques' extensive knowledge of document management systems will be invaluable to our Perth-based operations as we develop our solutions and services to help public and private sector customers manage their workflow control and reap the benefits of robust enterprise content management," said managing director Jim Bullough.

"Jaques has a proven track record of strategic planning and the application of process management that will help us meet increasing demand for our solutions in Western Australia."

Mr Van der Merwe has more than 10 years' experience in the IT industry, including seven in the document management sector.

He was most recently business systems developer at Johannesburg-based IT consulting company Shandon Business Solutions.

His previous positions include database administrator and business intelligence specialist at Legal Aid South Africa, development manager at Datafinity, and senior developer at QuartzIT.

Caylx provides BPM solutions that integrate business intelligence and content management functions.
