SaaS CRM provider Thunderhead.com has appointed Chris Manton-Jones as chief operating officer.

"Chris has unmatched experience in taking CRM, marketing and customer engagement solutions to market globally, and will play a key role in the execution of our ONE strategy," said CEO and founder Glen Manchester.

"Chris' background makes him the ideal appointment for this important role," he added.

Mr Manton-Jones joined the company from IBM, where he held a global sales leadership role in the enterprise marketing management division.

He was senior vice president, global sales and international general manager at Unica until its acquisition by IBM, and previously held senior international management roles at companies including Witness Systems (now a subsidiary of Converse), Peregrine Systems (now part of HP) and Temposoft (now part of Oracle).
