Australian insurance industry software solutions provider, AXE Group, has expanded its ANZ sales team with the appointment of a director of account development.

Axe CEO, Kimberley Lathe, said Srihari Rao Balabhadrapatruni had been appointed to a newly created role as Director Account Development, based in Sydney.

Sri, with 30 years of IT experience, was most recently Head of Insurance Business Solutions Sales, ANZ for Polaris Software Australia.

Prior to Polaris, Sri spent 14 years at Intellect SEEC as Vice President of Insurance Product Marketing, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing looking after the Asia Pacific region, with responsibilities across sales, pre-sales, business development and partner development.

Lathe said that In this new role with Axa, Sri would report to Raoul Lake, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, and be responsible for all aspects of account management and sales for AXE’s existing Axelerator Insurance Platform clients in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are pleased to be expanding our sales team with the creation of this new role focused on Account Development in A/NZ.  With Sri’s skills, vast experience across the insurance sector, and practical knowledge of the technology challenges insurers’ face, we know our Axelerator clients are in safe hands. 

Lathe said Balabhadrapatrunia's appointment also frees up Raoul Lake to increase his focus on expanding business further across the Asia Pacific region.”
