Speech and imaging solutions provider, Nuance Communications, has appointed a new head of its desktop application and imagining division to lead a growth push in the Asia Pacific market.

Nuance senior VP of sales & general manager, APAC, Jason Stirling, said 20-year industry veteran, Stephen Dubois, had been appointed director for the division, “at a time when Nuance is looking for continued growth in the Asia Pacific region, capitalising on an already wide customer base and a large portfolio of voice recognition and imaging solutions.”

“Nuance growth prospects are strong within the Asia Pacific region and we welcome Stephen to our leadership team to capitalise on this opportunity.”

Stirling said Nuance had global channel partnerships with nearly every MFP and scanning vendor, including Canon/Océ, Fuji Xerox, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lanier, Lexmark, Ricoh, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba and Xerox.

Dubois was previously managing director of Electronics For Imaging (EFI) Europe, national sales manager at Fuji Xerox Australia and most recently, worked with Touchstar and LXE.
