Subscription billing and commerce provider Zuora has appointed John Ruthven as its vice president for Australia and New Zealand.

"John brings a distinct industry vision and market development experience that will enable both our partners and customers to fully leverage the potential of their subscription-based services," said Tuora founder and CEO Tien Tzuo. "He is a pivotal asset in establishing Zuora as a leader in the subscription economy as it accelerates around the world and organisations require the right infrastructure to be nimble, competitive and grow revenue."

Mr Ruthven has more than 20 years' commercial experience in the IT industry, including 15 years at CA Technologies where he held senior executive roles including senior managing director for Asia Pacific Japan, executive vice president for global sales operations, and general manager and managing director – growth and emerging markets.
