Global IP and Ethernet switching solutions provider, Allied Telesis, has appointed a new head of enterprise business development, based in Sydney, to help drive company growth in the Australian market.

Allied Telesis’ ANZ Country Manager, Scott Penno, said Rick Yakob had been appointed enterprise business development manager, responsible for channel partner support and business development for a range of video, voice and data network solutions to clients in multiple markets, including government, healthcare, defence, education, retail, hospitality and network service providers.

Ten year IT industry veteran Yakob, previously worked for Hewlett-Packard and Fujitsu.

“Rick’s strong industry knowledge and experience with senior executive management will assist greatly as we continue to drive growth within Australia. Rick’s technical knowledge, channel focus and business acumen will be of great benefit to Allied Telesis and our customers.  We are delighted to have him join our expanding team on the ground here in Australia,” Penno said.
