Lenovo has strengthened its Australian and New Zealand executive team with the appointment of a new director for its SMB business in the region.
Lenovo's ANZ managing director and vice president, Alan Munro said David Heyworth, who joined Lenovo earlier this year as commercial product group manager for the ANZ region, had been appointed to the role responsible for company's SMB strategy and continued development of the sales channel to strengthen Lenovo's position in the SMB market in Australia and New Zealand.
'Lenovo sees SMB as an important segment across the Australian and New Zealand markets. I'm looking forward to working with the team to build on the excellent foundation we already have with these customers, and to progressing Lenovo's global business strategy that has seen it ascend to the number two PC manufacturer worldwide,' Heyworth said.
Heyworth has more than 18 years experience in the technology and telecommunications industries and prior to joining Lenovo, he worked with ICT companies including Telstra and Hewlett-Packard.
Munro said Heyworth would also direct the go-to-market strategy for Lenovo's broad array of commercial products, including notebooks, tablets, desktops, workstations and servers.
