IP Payments appoints chairman

Corporate payments and PCI compliance vendor, IP Payments, has appointed a financial services veteran as its new chairman.
{loadpositon peter}IP Payments director, Mark Lewis, announced the appointment of John Masters to the company board and as company chairman. Masters experience includes 24 years as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia as well as a range of Australian, Asian and global leadership and management roles.

He also holds various chairman and directorship positions including Chairman of the Board of Securities Industry Research Centre of Asia-Pacific Ltd (SIRCA), Director of Intersect Australia Ltd, Director of the Art Gallery Society of New South Wales and Director of ING Bank (Australia) Limited.

Lewis said Masters had made major contributions to government strategic policy formulation and had gained deep experience in consulting and leading consulting to banks and other financial services organisations in Australia and Asia.

'John also has deep knowledge and experience in dealing with, and assisting, Commonwealth and State governments in formulation of policy and processes for growth facilitation and regulation of the financial services industry in Australia. This year John has been appointed to the NSW Government's pre-qualified (preferred) consultants panel for financial services and related work.'
