Melbourne-based online solutions company, DC123 Group has appointed former EDS executive and NAB, Westpac and Ansett CIO, Michael Coomer as chairman, following the company's recent launch of its web-based MyRecruitOnline software.

DC123 director, Damien Schulze, said Coomer has also made a significant investment into the company, confident that its real-time software for recruiters will provide a 'much-needed high tech makeover to the industry and the job application process, leaving competing technology in its wake.'

Schulze claims that the MyRecruitOnline software is set to 'transform and reform the recruitment industry.'

Coomer has more than 30 years experience in the IT industry. As well as his time with Ansett, NAB and Westpac, he was executive vice-president for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region for EDS prior to the company's merger with Hewlett Packard in 2008.

For the last 15 months, Coomer has managed his own IT and BPO businesses.
